The heart of you

0 posted 2002-04-05 01:13 PM

I cannot find words that speak of my need.
The desire of my heart to love you.
For you are the one for which my soul pleads.
You are my moon in sky of Midnight Blue.
I sleep at night to your sweet whispered voice.
The words of your heart caressing my own.
To touch you in dreams, now, my only choice
Till our love will be, no longer, unknown.
Alone, my heart grieves at my condition;
And I send up a prayer to close the miles
That you will feel my love, warm like the sun,
As it touches your heart, and makes you smile.

One line remains, Dear One, for you to view.
This line, my heart, and these words, "I Love You."

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

Romeo, this is a wonderful sonnet, and the last two lines that complete it are so well written, good choice of lines. floria

Thank you all my friends, this, I feel, is one of my best.

It is based on, and inspired by, Sarah McLachlan's "I Love You".

Thank you.
