~ Slip Of The Tongue ~

My tongue seems to often trip
Over the words of verbal slip
I find that what I want to say
Has been taken quite the wrong way
Then the only thing left for me
Is to repair my lippy catastrophe
With a pretty sugar coated pill
Of sorry I didn’t mean you ill will

My mouth has it’s own rule
It seems too often to act the fool
When it slips up unintentionally
It makes a real monkey out of me
So I try the best way I can
To make it a friend to any man
I coat it with sweetened honey
Then my smile becomes bright and sunny

My lips don’t mean to really harm
While floating in the sea of charm
I know they simply can’t resist
Giving a verbal pouty twist
I don’t know why that this is so
But they with mischief simply flow
I try to sweeten them I really do
So I can serve up honeyed dew

Marsha

Marsha, darling girl, your words are always pure sweet honey to my soul. When you speak I want to gather all of the pollen in a great big garden for you, and then double as your drone. You are simply a wonderful Queen Bee! What little boy bee would not quickly die for the chance to be yours, sweet Mushy.

*LOL* I can't imagine that ever happening to you mushy one, but it did put me in the mind of an old saying, "open mouth, insert foot"... Too funny!

Marsha dear, " a slip of the lip, is not a fault of the mind"  Well wouldn't it be wonderful if that never happened to any of us. I have been guilty of this too, never meaning it but is just seems to happen. LOL,, Never you mind, everyone knows the true YOU>...floria

(giggles in delight) Awwwwwww, I know just how you feel, sweet friend, I think we all have possess this kind of attitude every now and then just so we can have fun with ourselves, but deep down I always know that you and all my friends never mean to be harmful when that does happen! (kiss on cheek) Sometimes my tongue slips too, but truly deep down I know I am a good boy and don't want to change it for the world! We all love you so much, sweet friend, this made me laugh and smile, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
