Last one That’s it and I am done Sorry is not something I do well Being that for myself, I would rather not do it at all. So I read a bit Ginsberg and Nash, Yeats and Plath And thought, That’s it, and I am done. Someone thinks I am a bit beyond Ordinary While you have kept me less than < I equal more than that. Since ornery is one of my favorite words Perhaps to act a little more like it Would suit me better Than you thinking I should be sorry One more time That we both committed to an “I do”. Because one of us just don’t “do” anymore. That’s giving you far too much credit More than you deserve And yet for me to be sorry one more day Is like watching that car swerve Directly for my lane of walk So before I say more talk Accept the silence. That’s it. The last one. And I am done. |

Oh my gosh, I think we can all relate to this request for silence so very much when sorry just is meaningless, sweet friend, this speaks with such emotion!
