~Petticoat Junction~
~*Marge Tindal*~

There it hangs, in sweet adorn
the little petticoat that she'd worn
Placed upon a hanger neatly
wearing laced-memories so sweetly~

Years gone by, gathering dust
Tat of lace in memory's trust
Etch of time rolls back again
sharing laced memories with a friend~

Prissy purse hung quietly beside
with school-day thoughts tucked inside
Attic clings to memories
when ours fails to function
Spending time in Petticoat Junction~

It's a really, truly memory-moment~

Ah, so cute. I recently went to a frame shop, and they had framed a little Christening dress. This has the same effect.

Marge:  Attics are such a treasure trove of memories.  This is so nostalgic and sweet.

Auntie Margie girl my favourite auntie, this is such a adorable poem. I’ve been so busy that I’ve not had time to come in and fill up with some soul love.

I love the whole presentation of this, YOU are a consummate artist painting whole vistas of memory with a single brushstroke or your delightfully witty pen. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me

My boss's grandmother lived to be 104 years old... and my boss has a petticoat her grandmother made when she was only 10 years old... the stitches are tinier and more even than a machine could sew!!

If only clothes could tell their stories... but then, they do... it just takes a special team of creative women. *S* I love this, Marge and June. *S* Once again, you've created a treasure... this is beautiful! *S*

SweetSuthernGal~
Doing that 'reminiscing' thingie today ...
found your sweet story ...

The 'petticoat' in this artwork of June's was done at my request when she told me the story of how her OWN little petticoat was stolen from her home ... she later found the hanger it was on at a flea market and bought it !!

I just love tender little stories like that~
Thanks gal~

*June~
To walk through your painted memories is a treasure like no other~
