When The Moon Spreads Her Wings

Every night before I fall asleep
I tuck my blankets to my neck, all over me
It feels like your warm body holding me
I lay there thinking "If I could hold you for real!"
Then I wouldn't ever again have to face insomnia
I can feel your hand in mine, keeping me company
And look out the window, I can see the moon rise like a phoenix
Spreading her wings out, siling to us like a snow owl

Every day the summer is getting closer
I can feel you growing ever nearer
And deep down I know
You love me
And soon I know we will see
Between you and me
The moon will spread loves wings

I go about my business with your picture in mind
As long as we're together, I feel alright
All I need now is this stillness of heart to find me
You are like canteloupe at breakfast, you taste so sweet
My sun has always been an albatross
Frozen in yearning, my hearts castle is like greenware
Now together we'll sit at the potter wheel of life
Kneading loves sweet dreams, you are my hearts wife

Every day the summer is getting closer
I can feel you growing ever nearer
And deep down I know
You love me
And soon I know we will see
Between you and me
The moon will spread loves wings

My heart is not frozen, it's just leather hard
All I need is your kiss to make it an ocean to your heart
I believe we can go the distance, I know there is a way
Destiny will embrace us some day

I stay up till 10 listening to Latin music
Staring at your pictures, I still feel lovesick
It's hard to rest my eyes with the flickering moonlight
I dream of holding you and kissing you at nighttime
All I want is to hear you breathing
See you cry, feel your body, hear you laughing
To see your smile and love you forever
Is all I want, more than ever

Noah!!!! I absolutely ADORE this poem... it has to be one of your finest. And I do believe you are in love!!!! I can see it in every longing, hopeful word you have written here. And I do know how you are feeling right now... waiting is the hardest part... but it is well worth the wait. Love always is.
