He Died For Us

***normally i don't write of such spirituality
but after attending church service yesterday
this is what inspired me***

He died on the cross for you and me
Shedding his very blood, so our sins would be set free
He died for us in the killing field
So that our hearts would someday be healed

The chants of angry cries could be heard
But not once did he utter a word
He raised his eyes instead to the Lord above
Asking for our forgiveness, and for eternal love

I wasn't there that day, but still I believe
For some people this concept is hard to conceive
But he is not dead, to the tomb he did not depart
He is alive, in each and every heart

If you ask to be saved, and you say it with sincerity
You will be spared, shown such incredible mercy
All you have to do is welcome Jesus into your soul
He will free you of your burdens, making you whole

I've asked Jesus countless times to be there for me
He has helped me in times of pity
Healing me, allowing me to rise high above
All because I welcomed him, asking for his love

"you can't stop
the rain
from pouring down
can't stop the
world from turning 'round
can't stop me from
loving you
no matter
what you do"

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I can't help but cry every time I think of Jesus, for I love Him so much and your words shine with His light and love! (kiss on cheek) I believe with all my heart He died for us all and to offer love a chance and for sinners to be edified and to achieve penitence! We all love you so much, sweet friend, you are a true angel to us all, this is outstanding! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Amy, thak you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Amy,
a lovely spiritual poem, you captured the essence of Christ very well.

I especially liked that stanza~
