Peace found within stillness.

"There Is No Peace
Like That Which Is
Found Within Stillness"
-Arlene Longson

All life is now silent; I hear no sound
The wind is now calm; the sea is serene
Nothing I hear, near or far, moves around
Birds are sweetly sleeping in nests of trees.

O where is God when all is calm, and still
When only peace and quiet rest on earth
With seas asleep and ev'ry calming gill
Prepares for some soon new begotten birth.

Stillness of dark night now waits for new dawn
To bring the sun up in a sleepy eye
Replace silent dark hidings on my lawn
Enjoying peace and quiet as I lie.

Must day be noisy everywhere I go
When light awakens seas, I cannot rest
For all my dreams are resting drifting slow
Beneath the moon and stars, my calm is best.

Daytime flurry creates noise and illness
There is no peace like calm found in stillness.

Peace found within stillness of quiet night.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this poem has a glorious sense of serenity in it, sweet friend, I too believe the stillness of heart is the most wonderful feeling of all and to appreciate the simplest pleasures is how we seek this calmness! (big hugggsssssss) We all wish you the happiest Easter, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Newell, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
