Waterford crystal
complimenting our lips.
Not to be confused with glass houses
or conjured notions of a distant reality.
Like glass shelves reflect their place on the edge.

It is merely the price I have paid
for a good vintage wine,
who keeps my glass half full,
the one who makes my reservations for two.

Cut into shapes
reflecting the light
coming together in rainbow streams.
Parting between slow sips
flushed by the warmth,
draining me.

When the party is over
and I am left in the company of you,
taking me to a place on the edge
carefully dusted and rearrange.

A private collection of precious momentos~
Seeping as we sift,
through the constant shifting
of time.....

(smiles) Memories will always offer us smiles from the past, just as I know you will find many more smiles to come that will always be reserved in your heart! (sigh) You always amaze me with your words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

That's right Larry, it goes back to the battle that isn't worth fighting!!
Thanks~

Amy~ Thank you for your gracious reply, I don't know what to say
except that I am flattered and I thank you sincerely.

Kethry~ Something about the way the light relects on the crystal that caught my eye,  I suppose that was my original thought here.
Good to see you and thanks Kethry~

Sandra~ I've read this over and keep picking it apart, but after reading all the nice comments here I'm thinking I must have done something right!
You're very sweet and I appreciate the read.....thanks.

Maureen~  I was writing both ways here, one of which was
being placed on the shelf, like being placed on a pedestal,
the other was more about finding my place and being
comfortable in it!  Does that make sense?  Thank you for always encouraging me.
hugs Maur~

Noah~ Like your heartwarming comments always amaze me.
You've a bright and wonderful light to share Noah.  Thank you.

Lyra~  I think in a way I am still writing in metaphors,  I guess it's part of my
style...if you could call it that!!      You are always so sweet to read me, thank you for sharing your heart Lyra~

Lauren~  I'm taking notes from some of the best!
Thank you Lauren for coming around and reading me~
Hugs to you too~

enjoyed the concepts
of shelving and display
perhaps the accent too
up the stares to be there
