"Lovesick Romeo"

Dumb struck
Love struck
He melts under her gaze
From the corners of his room
the doors opened
She entered his heart
Her eyes with promises to be
Sharing the stars
they crossed their universes
He told her:
I will do anything for you
for a kiss. . .
Her twinkling green eyes
gave a simple reply
He approached her tentatively
half-tripping on untied laces
Holding out his Gifts
of extra half-pint milk
with bent straw
and a nap blanket.

(Inspired by Dire Straits' "Romeo and Juliet")

Lyra the Munk-ster:  could use a Munk-Report on how you are doing lately.
You were in my thoughts the past couple of days as to your health.  Why oh why
do the brightest soul-stars seem afflicted by the fragility of health?
Thank you, Lyra, and even tho this was First grade love at its best,
it...uh.....still has a big part of me in it.....*grin*

Sey-Hey Kid:  Happy Holidays to you!  I regard each reading by you
a distinct honor, and a reply a gift!
Thank you Sey!  My best to you, and enjoy the warmth of the holiday Sun.
Jeff

Thanks so much for caring and for thinking about me, Jeff...that is much appreciated!
The truth is though...that right now, I can't tell how I'm doing as far as the big picture goes just yet....I won't know that til after I'm done with radiation treatments....probably the end of April or beginning of May....
But...I can tell you that I am tolerating the treatments pretty well...so far.
I was supposed to get very exhausted and nauseated and so far neither one has happened to me...I didn't even get the skin burns that I was warned about.
It makes me wonder if maybe there isn't real radiation coming out of that evil machine.
I've also been tolerating the chemo very well.
No nausea or hair loss yet from that...the only thing I've gotten is from the steroid they give me with it to prevent allergic reactions...my ankles, fingers and face swell up...now I truly look more like a chipmunk!
Sorry for the long reply...but you ASKED!
Have a great holiday
~warm hugs~

This is great and highlights the folly of first love and youth.
