~*~Making Daisy Chains For The Fairies ~*~
For Tori ~ 03/2002

Play the tune Fantasy while reading

The smell of spring in the air, the sky bulges with the rain.
We anticipate sitting in the garden again, crafting you a daisy chain.
Threading over and under, weaving you a patterned crown to wear,
a part of nature next to you, caressing strands of your silken hair.

Legend tells to only pick daisies in fields where they blossom wild,
or each stem you break will surely kill another unborn child.
You must have a gentle hand to weave each new stem through,
for they say every stem spilt full-length will bring cause to rue.

Both white and green must mingle to keep your blessings strong,
with agile hands we’ll work quickly now, for they don’t last too long.
Listen for the forest birds singing songs of good luck and fairy cheer,
but if you hear a crow’s cold call, it brings evening nightmares near.

We’ll sit quietly weaving our chains beside the brook in the forest wild.
Remember, now each daisy chain made, produces one perfect fairy child.
There is a song the fairies sing while wearing their newfound fairy crown,
so let’s weave and leave them here and there, they’ll find them on the ground.

We’ll leave them piles of the tiny daisies, tomorrow they’ll all be gone,
and then hide in the forest and we’ll listen to the fairies sing this little song…

“One for the forest, one for sea, and one for our circle of fairies small,
One for sun that warms the earth, and one for mountains tall.
Two for moon, and stars shining bright at night, we fly underneath,
Two for love, and one for hope; ten daisy chains make a fairy wreath.“

Sometimes in the forest, at twilight, when the dew is on the ground,
If you hush and listen quietly, don’t move or make a single sound,
You can hear the fairies singing, and see them dancing in their ring,
daisy chains upon their heads, oh Tori they are just the cutest things.

They too will have a daisy in their hand just like you and me,
Playing the daisy game that’s centuries old, it’s a magical thing to see.

He loves me, or
He loves me not.
He loves me, or
He loves me not.
