(This is a little different from my usual love style, just a thought I had to get off of my chest from my past)

Narcissus
By: Noah Eaton
3/29/02

There is gone and you're not here
You're high on the pedestal but you can't see down below
And from up there it must feel so cold

It seems you don't need anyone else
Other than your TV and yourself
I come home crying and you do nothing at all

You think you have it all
But right when you've begun, you seem to fall
Whatever floats your boat
Is all right with me
I just can't bear to hear you tell
"All I've tried to do is help!"
It's nice to know you but you can't help me anymore

I've been waiting in vain
But you don't even care
You're so self-centered
If I say I am in pain
To you its just another cliche
So I'll just turn and walk away

I've always taken the heart to listen
But you always make it sound so ridiculous
You think I seem so sardonic

I'd rather be stuck in a Mardi Gras traffic
Or crawl through cornfields until I get sick
Then having to listen to your excuses without even trying

You think you have it all
But right when you've begun, you seem to fall
Whatever floats your boat
Is all right with me
You change the subject in impromptu
I can never get across to you
I could stay listening to your excuses but I have more important things to do

I've been waiting in vain
But you don't even care
You're so self-centered
If I say I am in pain
It must sound like some cliche
So I'll just turn and walk away
I've been waiting in vain
But you don't even care
You're so self-centered
If I say I am in pain
It must sound like some cliche
So I'll just turn and walk away
Where am I going?

Sure do understand this, Noah...it's good to know when to move on.

Noah darling boy now this is one of your utter utter best, I love it. YOU have such a fabulous talent and in this you portray it to pure perfection.
Outstanding writing as always you show how well you can write I love the way you show such inner strength in this. Full of metaphors truly wonderful, moving on is always hard, but it’s the only way to go. None of us can rewind our lives, much as we think we’d like to.

Excellent writing darling boy absolutely excellent writing

Love and warm stuff

you are such a sweet, loving person! I don't understand how any could be so cruel to ignore you in your time of need! I am always here for you, night or day, 24-7, whenever, wherever (hugs)

Noah one of the good things about life is that sooner or later we will find someone that is concerned about our needs and desires...James
