You are not perfect

I know this
And age is something
We are all clothed in

Stillness does not lie
On the surface
Without all that is beneath
Being calm

So not the ideal
Presented each day
Of rosy cheeked youth
Tan, trim, abbreviated

You are not perfect

Nor am I

I know this
For time has shown me
Forfeiture of years does not bring
Wisdom without mistakes also
Becoming a mistress of your heart

It is one thing to admit
to imperfection...

something else again to
be told we are imperfect...

both cut...
one just not as cruel as the other...

Yes, mistakes are the best teacher...and owning up to them is a wise thing, but not an easy thing. A thoughtful write, my friend Ron and well done!

Love those lines.
I actually stopped midway through reading this because it inspired in me a perfect thought.
I think this is one of my favorites of yours.

acceptance, what I see is acceptance, I love the 'still' verse, I love the whole thing, none of us are perfect, but to have someone love you anyway, that is what gives life sweetness

and yet it is strange how we often times don't see the age of ourselves...I remember once when I was thirty and still pretty much in great "bikini" shape..I bought something to wear that I thought I looked good in..another woman my age, came up to me and  said, "what are you trying to do..look like a teenager"..and it ruined the outfit for me..I never wore it again...

BRAVO!!! Yes, no one is perfect but Him, and therefore we are all prone to mistakes, and mistakes are our mentors that later instruct us to learn from them and help us grow to understand others and offer them compassion! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is excellent! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
