If I had a cupful,
of Kansas springtime sun,
I would drink its golden rays,
until my thirst was done.
Sated, I would find a cottonwood,
sit in its cooling shade,
And gaze across far rolling plains,
on splendors heaven made.
Coronado Heights in majesty,
flows Smoky Hill below,
Meandering towards the Kaw,
as south winds ever blow,
Ambered waves of turkey wheat,
Flinthill cattle graze,
Cheyenne Bottoms springs to life,
in sunset's fiery blaze,
Wichita to Abilene,
Labette to Atchison,
My cup is running over,
with Kansas springtime sun.

(smiles) I have driven through Kansas before and the sun always looks so pretty when it is rising and setting on the horizon over the sunflowers! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tim, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Tim,

I needed this poem!

Enjoyed your description of Spring in Kansas.  Spring is my favorite season here.  Hope that it lasts all summer!

Thanks for posting.

Yep..sunshine and springtime...when hills begin to green and the rolling plains are turned into soft beauty...
