The poet starts in lines of four,
And learns in syllables of eight.
Words are simple, but more and more,
They will turn into something great.

She speaks of hearts and simple things;
He speaks of trees and sun above.
Hearing what inspiration brings,
They listen softly, and with love.

And so, pen in hand, they begin.
Some for fame, others, to express
Thoughts and wishes from deep within
In words that praise, love, curse, and bless.

And so we do, at least when the muse is not hiding out. I like this.

In words that praise...love...and bless....

we'll leave the cursing to those who swagger in, and swagger back out

Bravo, I love this!  I can't say that you've grown in your ability to write, because in my eyes from the very beginning, you've always penned perfection.
And that's why we call you the Sven Pen

This is a keeper~

Take care and keep in touch,

thank you all so much my friends. . .indeed, I have grown in my time here. . . and in my work. . . this, I think, will be a small series that appears from time to time. . .showing the growth of the poet, from earliest rhymes, to latest explorations. . .

thank you all again. . . your words help me to grow. . .
