Sunset

Lilac coloured linen skies,
Speckled red and dusted blue,
Light brushes in an orange hue,
A dash of yellow and painted beautiful.

Whistling winds rustling in the tree tops high,
In time the moon shall at darkness' porch arrive.
Behold for now, this magical horizon,
This abbreviated moment of Nature's perfection.

In time the moon shall at darkness' porch arrive..I too loved this line..

last evening I watched the Sun divided into  three parts, cloud shadowed as it was setting..it was so  beautiful...just as the moon is when it appears...

very nice

Hi Marge ...
Thanx for your reply ...
I too like the moon imagery a lot ... It always adds a touch of magic

Hi M ...
I know exactly what you are talking about... Though the view from my window may not always be picture perfect, sometimes if I am lucky, I would be able to catch a glimpse of the sun rays just gently caressing the ends of the sky, as the moon comes into view.

Hi Titia ...
That was a lovely picture. And yes, it is something like that

Hi Noah ...
Thanx for your very sweet reply ... I missed being here too. Been so lost in the past year ... but somehow it feels good to be back writing and sharing again.
I guess the most beautiful things in life are the littliest of things around us that we always take for granted. I am just trying to pay a tribute to one of those little things
*hugz*

Hi James ...
It's good to hear from you and thank you for having thought well of this new offering of mine.

Hi BluesSerenade,
It's a blessing to be able to have calm and serene thoughts ... At least I feel that way now.

Thank you all once again for dropping by ...
