Looking through
the stain of glass
are shattered hopes
and dreams of past
as I lay awake
each passing night
to find myself
at break of dawn
with fingertips
stretched out
in plea
if only
I could believe
his love for me
is one of true...

How can this be
a simple task
allowing him
to enter in
this world
of which
I seek retreat
from fantasy
and what is real
where in a cage
surrendered are
these feelings
of abandon
of once upon
a time before...

Each new day
time tick's away
and I find myself
yearning to
be found
in eyes
turquoise blue
if only
I could believe
his love for me
is one of true...

A simple task
as said above
letting go
of distant past
yet readiness
to commit
into the bond
of togetherness
is something quite
perplexing still
if mind and heart
are spinning in
the opposite
of twirls...

And so
alone
in deepest thought
I sit today
with tears that trace
the outline of
the child in me
an innocence
I hold dear
not knowing
what to do
or say
to convince myself
and believe
his love for me
is one of true...

How very beautiful this is. *S* And it's so true... each hurt makes it harder to find the faith that someone is true... each wrong choice makes it harder to give someone else a chance, each heartache makes it harder to trust your own judgement.

Coco I find that there are only a few people in a lifetime that really stand out and seem to be a special one...these are the ones I could not turn away from even if I tried...win or lose...and each time my heart hopes she is the one of true...quite honestly the one I am with now seems to be very sincere...James
