Listening to every heart

Midnight Muses’ Dance

To see beyond the world in round
To watch the Muses dance
To swim in blue, fly in gold
To hear of word’s romance

Then sit on rock of crystal rare
And laugh with Muses all
Sweet, count them, Muses nine, they come
To this, their midnight ball

Sit, a’mused, then walk, b’mused
Refuse not their powers rare
Lay, confused, in words adore
Abuse not these lovers fair

Should they come a’seeking thee
Bid thy night adieu
For only a poet of good heart
Is whom they come to woo.

Sunshine...Musical and lyrical poem sung to the Muse that comes to dwell in the heart of a poet or poetess in those rare witching hours when most choose to sleep. BRAVO!!!

I really enjoyed this. Inspiration flows wonderfully out of your pen, and you're an inspiration to me!
One of these days I'd like to borrow your muse

Take care,

Karilea,
instructive poem, but I find waiting for the muse is like waiting for Godot.

Oooh Karilea!  I must have missed this on my way to the dungeon, where I still am.
Love this, I sure do!  This flows beautifully just like a dance...and today I feel as though my muse heard it and danced off into the sunset. LOL.  Enjoyed so much!  Hugs.
