Should not the day break at the morn
and shower all with light
When shafts of white are again born
before the break of night.

As stars do die upon the birth
of day upon the lands
The sun ‘gain smiles unto the earth
where life is born and stands

Into the heavens high the beam
shall hurtle into space
as cosmic dust does ride the stream
of solar dust in race.

The countless years have graced the face
of man and beast alike
bringing warmth and light to each place
with each new solar spike.

If not the dawn should break anew
the cock will sleep till freeze
and moon shall fade and bid adieu
producing no more cheese.

Enchantingly beautiful, Larry...and I love the little surprise in your last verse about the moon and the cheese!

Thank you Myra....uh....I mean Lyra....
glad you liked the little ending...Nice try
on saying BARRY....With a B...like in Boy,
or butter,  or some other word that doesn't
start with an L as in Larry.....

See....that is part of that senior thing
you wrote about....

I knew you weren't 23!!!!!

Ah, you twisted this well at the end, I was just about to leave a heavy sigh and am leaving a instead!

I enjoyed the images of the light of the moon that shines on a brand new day!
How dreadful it would be though if there was no more cheese.  Now that concerns me.

Ah Yes...lady of light, our shining sun...
I had to put a twist at the end....something
a little different for the evening before
break of a new day....
