THIS IS ACTUALLY A PICTURE I TOOK OF MY BACK GARDEN

* * * * *

An icy chill runs through my body
As I leave through my back door
I put on my wooden clogs
Before I head out to explore

As we move towards Winter
I see many changes before my eyes
As my garden is like a chameleon
Taking on a different disguise

The bright flowers of Summer
Are now few and far between
The birds now seek shelter
Not so often are they seen

The trees are losing their cover
As the leaves begin to fall
Very soon my beautiful birch trees
Will have no covering at all

The soil has become much colder
'tho down below there lays a surprise
In a few months time there'll be a treasure
Unearthed before my very eyes

Many flowering bulbs I have planted
Now they lie dormant in the earth
I must wait so very patiently
Until I can view the first signs of birth

Crocuses daffodils and jonquils
Will commence this spectacular display
Followed by ranuculi and anemones
Bursting forth from where they lay

A kaleidescope of color
Will adorn my garden beds
With all the colors of the rainbow
From blues to yellows and reds

In the kaleidoscope of your eye
and the whirlwind of your words
I have enjoyed this, even more!

Absolutely breathtaking Sue, are those Cala Lilies on the left?  My Lord, I pay 4.99 a stem here and you have them growing in your year?  Don't forget now to take pictures in the Spring.  Oh I loved this (but you know how much I love flowers and gardens) thank you for this one sweetie, it is beautiful!

Sue:  A lovely garden you have and the poem is beautiful! My crocus are just now coming up as we have had so much snow and cold. Very late this year.  I see lily of the valley and poppy shoots coming too and day lily.  Won't be long and I'll have flowers!
