The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-03-25 10:25 AM

Swimming to safe, crossing the moat
for once again I missed the boat
I clamber past the rocky shore
to bask in sun, feel warmth once more.

Gardenia fragrance fills the air
a place to rest, forget all cares
Defrost my heart in rays of gold
perhaps all memories aren't old.

Trade winds blow gently o'er the sand
carry a whisper 'cross the land
Someday my love will come to me
till then, I wait here by the sea.

I love the way you write.
Makes me clamor for more
More! More! More!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Hey Sandra, if ya get bored waiting by the sea, come on over and wait on the porch, awhile.  I think I'm allowed to have company.  Geez, I didn't ask, though.  Maybe I should ask first.  I'll get back to ya, ok?

you know love is a trange tihng. you don't know what is comming to you. you wait and wait for the longest time and what notihng comes then again if the mate heres then he or she will answer. but love is pure truth and honer. love is nothing to abuse it wil backfire. i know i have been their and it is not cool. you will reach out and capture your love if not their is many stars to catch in the night quiet skies. you will find the one. i have faith in you. i have been hurt to many times.

Sandra, I really liked the solitude in this.
The gardenia frangrance that fills the air makes for a perfect setting.
Just have to keep watching for those ships passing in the night,
ours will come in, any day now!!     So I keep telling myself!!

Very pretty poem!

~Sandra, (it's me?) and I'm so glad I stopped here. This is perfect, could feel and see this through your words. I'll read it again and again. *Peace you.
