first twilight together

Our arrangements set.
My heart eagerly waited,
As it fluttered a tone of romance.

There you stood,
In the night air.
Escorted by your glamour, I fell trance.

Opposite each other sat.
There my butterflies resided.
But with dialogue we shared our opening dance.

Relaxed and cozy,
A setting we both nibbled.
Enhanced, the evening by your presence.

You amiably told,
Of your footsteps in life.
A more lovely picture of you to draw.

I also shared much,
As you felt so familiar.
Was this the same reason you shared my straw?

I do confess
At times I drifted,
Held captivated by your alluring claw.

My growing urge
For fingers to touch,
To wonder, to flow about your face, without flaw.

I’ve never felt that way.
Tis’ all so mystifying.
In this slender gap of moment, you’ve filled so much.

What’s this so special,
I echo my desire to you?
Ambient interactions even during a silent hush.

Girl, please explain.
What’s this brewing in my soul?
Or am I the only one experiencing this correlation?

Tell me girl!
From what legion of Angels were you sent?
For now I’m greatly filled with conjecture.

The graph of these few days,
Reducing me to give up on knowing.
Rather, I bury beneath my calm persona,
A truth that I’ve initiated to decipher.

I’m almost afraid to see you,
So I leave it to you and destiny to say when.
Until then, I’ll always remember… our first twilight together.

I really liked this, why? Well because it gives me a good picture of youre memory. I can relate to many things that you say from youre heart, all of my poems so far have been from the heart, through and about love. Mabye someday this will change, mabye it wont. but all i can say is love poems I think make some of the best poetry, and i enjoyed this one.
