The sun crept quietly
leaving me with twilight sky
scattered were the clouds
like thoughts in a mind too full
random in size, shape ~ intensity

Holding on to nothing
I let go, and just let the breeze
stir my soul for a while
realizing I didn’t have a need
to feel, anything

Lingering past purple fade
crickets kept telling me the time
as if I didn’t already know
couldn’t already see
by twinkle shine of stars displayed

Without slightest of rush
my feet could find no hurry
nor move by pre-set clock
instead stayed in cool of sand
allowing my mind thoughtful hush

And with the familiar comfort of love’s constant sustain
his silent arm wrapped ‘round my shoulders
tender, assuring fingertip caress
wordlessly whispering that this love of ours
would forever remain

~SEA~

This is so relaxing and beautiful, sue.

Without slightest of rush
my feet could find no hurry
nor move by pre-set clock
instead stayed in cool of sand
allowing my mind thoughtful hush

It looks like the very best way to live.

This verse stands out from the rest because it is the only one without emotion.  Yet, even feeling nothing...we feel.
Love it, Susan!

It's easier that way isn't it?
You write so nice, and I never fail to relate whole heartedly.
Your poetry is always so soft SEA,
and such a pleasure to read.

Seems like a while since I read such sweet contentment from you...makes me smile.
love the rhyme scheme in this.
A special moment captured in your words and images. Beautiful sharing Sea-girlie
