Suppose
One day I awoke
And knew that things had changed
That for once I was happy
Truly happy and life had more meaning
The sun shone brighter
The air smelled fresher
The birds sang sweeter
Suppose that day came
After the darkest of nights
When my heart felt dead
And my soul was black
The ray of light that started that day
So bright its purity hurt my eyes
What a feeling that would be
To have it happen to me
To cleanse this heart and soul
Almost spiritual, but all in this world
That day did happen
In the most unlikely of times
When I had given up and doubted honesty existed
You came along, a ray of pure light
You made me whole, made me feel again
Awakening this lovers being
To know what true and unconditional love is
Together we find the feelings we need
To make the difference in our worlds
To finally live
Truly live

Rodney darling boy Do you know how good this really is? Not just the form although that is excellent. I mean the construction the flow the internal rhythm this is utterly stunning.

YOU are indeed a master of art here. The whole of this is exquisite, and do I remember this feeling, the longing to be happy Perfectly penned darling boy absolutely perfect
