Unspoken

Incapable of carving or articulating
the emotions I aspire to express-

How do you define a heart-sigh
through wisdom more intense
than words are gifted to convey?

How do you paint the reflection
of a heart reborn and fulsome,
amid a radiant tenderness to which
letters cannot be bent?

How do you divide the tears
of pleasure breaking threads of doubt,
or declare the syllabic nuance
of a language never learned?

I’ve naught communication
commendable or capable
by which to truly declare
inspiring sacred trusts

~~so unutterable~~
~~go unspoken~~

Eternally lingering
on broken fragments
of countless imaginings
forgotten in sleep.

~~for my special friend, love you always~~

I'm wise enough now not to let cool get to me.

Your poetry is always so tender and true.
To shout it from the roof tops has to be one of the greatest feelings of all.

This was such a poignant piece in more ways than one~
Every line drew a heavy sigh from me.

So pretty Dulci~

A beautiful and special tribute indeed!  Some emotions are just so intense and deep that words can never do them justice...you captured this sentiment very well.

I love the way you describe these emotions, Dulcinea...

How do you paint the reflection
of a heart reborn and fulsome,
amid a radiant tenderness to which
letters cannot be bent?

Great job!

Jeff, with inspiration such as you, how can I not shine? And yes darling, I will be there to pick you up...

Always!

Sunshine, thank you so very much! I appreciate the "gentle" comment!

Kat, It was a special day, one I am sure we both will remember always. I couldn't find the words I wanted to say to express what I was feeling, so I described the dilemna instead, thank you for your wonderful comments! ((HUG))

Thank you Floria, I appreciate the kind comments!

Lyra, I am honored! Thank you so very much. Hope you are well, and holding your own! ((hugs))
