A Check on my Soul

Once more I open up the door
To look into my soul once more
To take a taste and stir the blend
To simmer to a proper end

The kettle bubbles oddities
With salt and pepper fantasies
Misting magic mediate
Cooking into ideate.

There seems no small ingredient
To make a soul expedient
For soul transcends the time of toll
And waits for you another whole

A single life but links a claim
To anchor down the solid aim
And nonsense turns to sense once more
For it to bloom forevermore

The flower that the soul can be
Forever in eternity

Seymour darling boy Oh my I’m stunned with admiration this has got to be one of you utter utter best. Truly the line and form in this is absolutely excellent. I’m sitting here with my mouth making a silent oh of awe. This is really beautiful writing. YOU do KNOW I simply LOVE your writing don’t you?

I can actually feel the depth of this, this is utterly utterly wonderful. Truly awesome writing you are always a fabulous writer. Utterly utterly exquisite, maybe one day I suppose I’m gong to read your words and the magic connection between eye and heart will be gone. But not today and I hope not for a long long time, possibly that day will come when I start writing short replies. smile Absolutely perfect darling boy

From open door I smelled the brew
of Randy's cooking wholesome stew
I thought I would just take a peek
saw him standing, cutting leeks

and Sy? He's at his desk again
writing poems with inky pen...
a little moth with ink-tipped wings
softly flitters in soft sing

A single life but links a claim*
To anchor down with solid aim*
my life to yours for I would read
your poetry with eager greed

[*quoted from original]

Thanks for getting my muse kick-started and BEFORE the first cup of tea!  Hugs to you!

Marsha,
As I said before your superlatives are magnificent. And I have become addictive to them. Thank you

JM,
You are the purr I seek to hear
The whisper that is near my ear.

The wind beneath the wings I fly.

What a lovely peek into the doorway of your soul Sy. Great reflection, with perfect tempo too.

(smiles) This is soooooo wonderfully delightful, sweet friend, I too feel that there is indeed much nonsense that we always feel but nonsense is what makes our dreams come true in believing in something extraordinary and when we spice it up to freality, it somehow becomes sense and that is the enchantment of life's ambitions! (big hugggssssss) Your words always make me smile, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shien upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I want to get this tattooed on my arm, with a little flower...
"The flower that the soul can be
Forever in eternity"...and I may just do that!  Heck you only pass this way once right?  Loved this one so much it may "hurt"!

Noah,
Thank you for the wonderful comment.

Mysteria,
You don't need the tattoo, you are a flower.

Seymour:
i am always in search of someone who knows how to say
a common feeling
but with uncommon words that still stir emotions
You did this sooo well.  I wonder, tho, if the poem
wouldnt be better if the last two lines were to be omitted,
or at least, included somewhere inside of the poem....
either way, it's a winner! tSR
