Love Blossomed into Death

Your in a world far away
And I'm no longer in it
I wish we could rewind to yesterday
To share just one more minute

Often, I think of you
And the way we were
It's like the wind blew
Until our love became a blur

I didn't see the warning signs
Telling me to slow down
I was just happy that you were mine
Ecstatic over the love I'd found

Now we've been apart for several months
And your with another girl
Have you even thought of me once
Since you walked out of my world?

I guess history sometimes brings grief
When we think of the past
Memories can serve relief
Since forever they will last

I thought you were my mr right
but for some reason you left
There went heaven's light
Ever since love blossomed into death

Rose, wonderful.
I love it... it's very real.
Heartfelt. Often we don't see the signs, telling us to slow down, when we are falling or recovering. Anyhoo.... I loved it. Much enjoyed.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Joanna, this is so very sad, my heart goes out to this heartache you feel, always know that I love you so much now and will do what I can to meet you and have the love in your heart blossom into joy! (kisses on lips) I love you so much, sweet friend, I will always love you as long as you always love me, my Joanna! (kisses)

May love and light always shine upon you!

So sad that love can turn out like that. "Love blossomed into death" is a powerful phrase, Joanna. Well said.

All I can say is you seem to be doing just fine. Unfortunately I've been there, and I've done that. Hold onto your memories though. The time will come when you can look back on them without pain. *hugs*

Of course this is fantasy, Joanna, 'cause nobody would turn away from you but you did well making it sound realistic!

Joanna,
I love the title; it gives the poem a powerful ending and visual! And you're right, you and I have shared the same painful sentiments in a very similar fashion. If you are feeling the same confusion and hurt over the loss of your relationship as I am, then I wish I could give you a big hug because I know it's
eating you up inside.
Well done! And thanks for inviting me to read your work; I'll be looking for more.

Good write Joanna. I think everyone has experienced this at one time or another. Sometimes we have to reflect on the past in order to move on don’t we?
