I saw the sea upon the
oceans nightmare melody
behind the walls of whisper
beyound the fog we live
I looked upon the sea
for the fortunes lost
the time I cannot breathe.

I saw the sea upon the
last light of the suns cool rays
bringing up the fallen angels
that what their right to scream
out loud to a forgotten world
that measures all of us to death
and slowly, we find ourselves
in anger lost as we forget.

I saw the sea, as it
toppled the last remaining city
to late for silent prayers
the screams are all left to bare
in second thoughts we find
that the heart is want to die
unless you stare into the sea
to find the peace you wanted to be.

==================================

a hauntingly beautiful write Michael...written with your trademark mix of longing and imagery.
good to see your name here poet of the wind.

Of all the things in me I could never be,
of the true I kept hidden from view,
the best parts of my heart ...
were the ones touched by you.

It's not often I miss the beaches I once walked, but you've got me missing 'em now...

I like this, the imagery and thought.  Very good.
