'I find that Bizet makes the
bagels taste better'
these were the first words that
were spoken between us
on that late afternoon, just when
it seemed that we had finally seen
the last of winter
but were waiting for one final
practical joke from Mother Nature

well, I said, if Bizet is good
for the bagels, then I suppose
that Mozart goes best with muffins?
'only the blueberry ones' was the answer
to my (I thought) witty analysis
of the unique situation

'Bach goes better with banana nut'
and, when this was said
it seemed to make sense to me somehow
as the Corelli came over the speakers
we both reached for our coffee
and wondered if the sun would
come back tomorrow

I like this SO much. This is the kind of poetry I cannot write, but I wish I could.
P.S. We had a spring weather joke here too.

So what does Bohemian Rhapsody go best with?
I liked this-the inconsequential ramblings of friendship always entertain me.

This was a little outdoor cafe on the coast of Spain, wasn't it, where nobody cared who you where, or what you said...only that you understood when something was said?

Enjoyed the journey, my friend.

Whats Bizet, anyways?

This is different for you, Sven Pen. Sorry I haven't gotten to respond to your work lately, but I've been reading. To the top with you. enjoyed.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

I like this...and I think the comparison
to the types of music is right on target!
