Tell me Times Three

Some think
my memory is faulty
‘tis why I let them
have their fun,

for I recall the way you took my
heart by your
smile

offering loving~word~linked~to~loving~word
and once was enough
to believe

so when in drunken
reverie some One told you what you
wanted~to~hear

when turning was still an option

to arms that meant evermore

you only listened once…

so if I learned from life’s lessons
to selectively hear
what one chooses to voice, don’t mind me
if I ask my new “you” to repeat

twice, thrice

why I should be loved…

for I cannot ever fall for the
first time’s lines,
again…

Yes, it's nice to hear it more than once.  Enjoyed this.

(sigh) Wow, this is sooooooo emotionally powerful, sweet friend, I too agree with you, for I feel we should all be reminded of how much one loves another so we know if ntheir love is real always! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Soleil, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Very well done, Soliel...and also very true.
I think that at some level...we all hear what we want to hear.
