devil rock

And we came to the devil's inn.
She said,

"Welcome, welcome to my place.
It’s always nice to see a new face.
Welcome, sit down, have a beer.
It’s on me.  We're all family here"

So we sat and drank our beer,
she-devil at our table glancing,
marveling at how good it was and free,
and watched the patrons dancing.

"It always gets warm on the end of the week.
Lots of fun and games and good cheer."
So she took a few things off and gave us a peek
and whispered sweet love in our ear.

There are no rules here at the devil's inn,
behind the game of life,
and in this place of free things for fools,
only one game:
to break the rules.

And she took us to a dark place
and did things to us
that we once thought
would make the devil blush.
And in our simple thoughts
we imagined love
and loved her devilish.

We danced all night.
And when the sun rose
she laughed and said,
"My old man Satan will be here soon,
so I suggest you make yourself scarce.
He doesn’t take to strangers well.
Or, if you love as you say you do,
stay, and I will drag you
down to hell."

And we ran
with the devil on our heels.
And as we ran,
she screamed in our ear,

"Run, run, as fast as you can,
run to the end of the Earth.
Kiss the hand of God
for all I care.

"But always, everywhere,
and for as long as you live,
in everything you do,
no matter where or when,
you’ll know

"You once loved me,
I’ll always be a part of you,
the devil never forgives,
and you’ll never love again."

Wow, this is so very powerful, sweet friend, it seems here Death can relate to Fate, and if we break these rules and cannot embrace each moment with happiness and hope, it's as if the Devil robs us of our time and of loves chances! (big hugggssssss) Your voice is always so amazing in your verse, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

A strong comment on the power of choice... and the abyss of poor choice...
Very talented...enjoyed the music. ThisDiamond

ThisDiamond -- thank you for reading and taking the time to listen to the music.  Concerning choice, I hadn't thought of it like that, and it certainly is a poor choice, but unfortunately too many don't have much else.  It got for me so bad that I just gave up choosing.  Interesting comment.  Thank you.

MirrorMan:
a fascinating bubble
about to pop
when the heels are singed
in flee of dark trouble
the soul is stone-throated
seeing Black Angels winged

Sunshine -- ha, ha.  Thank you for coming back for the music.  I enjoy writing it and knowing others enjoy listening.

ShadowRider -- yes, you've said a mouthful.  Horrible fascination, trouble that swallows your soul, speechless sometimes.  These places are to me the beginning of the road to hell.  Thank you.

Mirror man...the mood of music and poem is chilling.  You wake feeling easily with this combination of your talent.

Thank you, Martie.  You are always very perceptive.  I am being perhaps too subtle with this one, but I never met one who had a tail and horns.  Ha, ha!  Thank you.
