The Captain’s View

Landlocked
in tall frame only
eyes holding imagination

of panoramas yet to be explored

he will take you
with him
not promising you won’t
become sea-sick
with sway of recollect

as he picks up stones
off the bank
and with deadly aim

fishes you back
out of the water

(chuckling) hmmm not sure whether to be honored or wonder how cruel you think I am...

Deca

Then ten times
she shared
more than centuries
passed
inside the words heart
beating life to one
not as well framed
with light

Character
painted her canvas image
hiding behind the knows
of someone elses stare

Deca
times ten
the words multiply
what we feel
