MatchLink.Com

I've checked them out, I'm bored you see,
companionship a need for me.
What fun is it to be alone,
or dining, dancing with some unknown?
I read their facts, and faced their samples
of words and looks and other examples.
And all I ever seem to do...
is compare their all, with that of you.

Offering travels, romance that appeals,
ocean views and fancy wheels.
But each time after reading such,
I only wish for one man's touch.
What is this hold that captured me,
seized control, of want to be,
commandeers, pre-empts my view.
It seems that all I want is you.

Use the picture, Maureen...you look beautiful in it...

Its hard to be lonely because its a Noah's Ark world out there.  Everyone seems to be paired up.  I remember after my first husband died, how lonely it was...seeing so many happily coupled pairs, and going to dinner with my kids and their spouses...and feeling like the odd woman out.

So, if I were you...I would definitely sign up for the dating service and use that gorgeous photo.
I met my husband, David through an online dating service.
I had never written to any guys before, just responded to their letters and I didn't meet anyone I liked so, I was about to sign off...but I realized that I had never written to any one first...so I asked for a list of potential matches and they emailed me a list which started at 99% match and went all the way down to 50%.
I wrote to the top 4 on the list and 3 wrote back but I didn't like them.
David was all the way down the list at 80%, and honestly I don't know what made me write to him because their was nothing in his profile which attracted me and his picture was awful...it didn't even look anything like he really looks...but something kept nagging me to write to him.....so I did.
He wrote back and asked about me, so I told him a bit about myself and where I live.  It turns out that his daughter and grandaughter live in this town also and he was going to be here next week and asked if I would like to go to lunch.....I said yes, then he asked for my phone number...he called and the rest is history.
So go for it, Maureen...You are a beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit...and you have nothing to lose....
Good luck!
And...by the way....I love your poem too.
  lots of hugs!

By the look of the responses, it seems you have been told to "go for it"...

what are you waiting for?
