What More?

What more could I ask for than what you give to me?
A love that sometimes is bathed in utmost serenity
But at other times the passion flows with such fire
That I’m lifted up on a wave of incredibly sweet desire
There’s never a wrong time for me to be with you
In the morning in the night or all the day through
Whenever I touch your hand I can feel this love flow
And every day I feel my love for you grow and grow

What else could I do but fall deeply in love with you?
You fill me with such sweetness that flows all through
When I hear your voice I’m drenched in pure delight
Immersed in heavenly sensations pierced by love’s light
No other soul could touch that secret place within me
That center of my soul’s being that spark of infinity
You know all that I am and yet you still seek more
With you in my heart I’m flying so high I simply soar

What choice did my heart have I had to love you
I had to cede to your power to feel this love so true
There’s no question that you don’t truly adore only me
That is something I know with love’s utter certainty
I feel you in my heart you’re in each and every beat
And whenever you’re near I feel such a rush of heat
I belong to you my heart is yours to have and hold
This I know my darling our love will never run cold

Marsha dear, this is so beautiful and it sounds like a perfect relationship and I am so happy for you. There is nothing in the world to compare to true love. floria

Oh my, Marsha, I read this one and I had to run to Elizabeth Barrett Browning and reread her sonnet:
First time he kissed me he but only kiss'd
The fingers of this hand with which I write

It gave me that same feeling. That same 'love just keeps getting better and better' feeling. I'm so happy for you.
