I tried to catch the whole range for you to see,
so image that the first one is on your left and those are called "The Lions",
and on the right is Grouse Mountain Ski Resort.
I walked not even 4 blocks to take this picture
but the mile thing in the poem is to only so it would rhyme

~*~

This morning as I opened my curtains
the sun was filtering in so bright.
I saw a postcard scenery before me,
as it had snowed all through the night.

Gramma taught me that snow came from,
an angel shaking out her feather bed.
I smiled, remembering those stories
she made up so easily in her head.

Well today my thoughts went to Titia,
and even thought it was so darn early,
I grabbed my jacket, pulled on my boots
as I knew she would love this surely.

I crunched on diamonds underfoot,
and my shadow made me smile.
Before I knew it I had covered a lot of ground,
my wrist meter showed it was a good mile.

The sun on the mountains was indescribable,
to say it looked like a “postcard” wouldn’t do.
I knew I had to take some pictures,
to share the wonderful view with you.

So I have taken these two pictures Titia,
And in your mind, put them side by side,
These are the mountains I look at every day,
That’s why in God’s wonders I abide.

In this world of chaos, and anger,
I wish everyone would just stop, look and see,
All the wonders of nature before us,
That he shares with you and me.

This picture is also of The Lions

This is the first robin I have seen, and I bet this guy is sure confused today.

You're quite the photographer and your words equal the beauty of your gift.
And you know that I'm lovin' that birdie pic

This is a keeper   I love your message and the graceful way you penned it.  I'm sure that Titia and many others will enjoy this as I have!

Take care,

Oh my gosh, I'm speechless at such beauty.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us Sharon. Now I feel such an urge to grab a plain and visit you. Just awsome.

I was just getting depressed by all the new rules they've invented for us rare sheepbreed holders, but your mail pulled me out. I needed that tonight.

WOW what a sight.

Darn those sheep herder bureaucrats, they made Titia's day "baaaaaad", so I wanted to cheer her up!  After all, Balladeer is now a godfather to one of the offsprings.  Oh, and by the way, did you happen to notice it was a "black sheep"?   Thanks for peeking into my world.

Absolutly beautiful!  The pictures and the poetry.  Not to mention the beautiful spirit in which this was penned.  I just don't think that perfection needs improvement.

Ah shucks, you are are so darn sweet you know that?  It only takes a minute or so to cheer up someone doesn't it.  I saw a bumper sticker today had to share with you and it said, "Smile it could change someone's life" and now how true is that?  Thanks to you all.

I am definitely coming to visit!!! The pictures are beyond spectacular. Not only do you write beautifully, you take magnificent photo's. I heard on the news this noon that the summer birds have returned very early this year. However, I have not seen a first robin as of yet! Thank you for sharing yours.
