"Walking with Batman"

Coffee cup in hand, I ventured outside
A sunny brisk day where clouds can not hide.
Walking around the campus, I did stroll
Suddenly thru the bushes, out popped a troll.

His name is Batman: actually 'Batman-Guy'
Mask of thick fur making a cowl of his eyes
He's cost me a fortune from fights that he's had
I respect his libido, but we still cut his 'nads.
He has a stitched up hole cut deep in his dome
Still walks with pride but not too far from home.

Cat and Man walked together, just him and I
We both stopped together to hear willows cry
I had to walk slowly even though he has four
And we walked and he talked,
then we walked a little more.

I crossed the street and I called and implored
But like a small child, he'll cross no more.
So I gathered him up, and told him he's mine.
He walked happy beside me - keeping good time.

We stared at the blackbirds *****ing up in a tree
I waited patiently for him while in mulch he did pee
He kicked his back feet like bull waiting to charge
He caught up to me slowly, as his belly hangs large.

And when we were done, and we both reached the door
I was grateful for his company, and the love he does pour.
But he still won't come in, the fact is well known
that he's still a cat, you see:the idea must be his own

Note:the real title is Walking with Batman,
but i didnt want you to think i was strolling with a cartoon.
Batman is still with me, and is still a pest
but he's a wonderful intuitive friend, and always by my side.

Jeff hi there my friend, what a wonderfully descriptive poem, I do believe I could see the two of you walking together. He sounds like a really independent and feisty cat. I’m sure the two o you have lots of fun together.

Very well written my friend this is a wonderful poem from you. And what it was doing so far down the list I don’t know. Never mind this is a bump to the top of page one where you can garner plenty of replies

So guess who is sitting here on the bed right now, watching me as I try to do this reply? Yeppers...he is talking to me too, think he read the poem?? *LOL*

When you first showed me this, I couldn't figure out why anyone would name a cat Batman, but now that I have seen him, I can see the resemblance! *LOL* It is true, he is a cat like no other! I still love this poem!

(giggles) Awwwwwwww, this is soooooo cute, sweet friend, now all Batman needs is a buddy, maybe a robin named Robin! LOL! We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is a delightful dedication to your sweet kitty-cat! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Krissy:  i owe the Bump favor, and will repay it toot-suite, Sweet!
It's a pleasure and honor to be read and smiled upon by you, Krissy!

Pilgrimmage:  awww thank you!  We have a symbosis for sure!
He knows when i need his 'brushing up on me' and i know when he
is feeling blue, without any sounds being made.

Seymour:  Thankx amigo!  We have a great time together! YuP!

Dulcinea:  ok we have to share him *grin* but its a mutual pleasure, for all
three of us!  What a Case he is, huh?  Never met a cat that tries so hard to
be human.  You like the way i taught him to talk?  Yak yak yak now...
he has more of a vocabulary than some college grads i know!  LOL

Noah:  That is fer-shure!  The one thing he misses is a little Female Diversion.
Too many dogs in this neck of the woods i live in, but i will be moving soon,
away from the lake view here, to places unknown.  Then he can roam again! *s*

Floria:  to be honest, this is one of my favorite poems.  It describes EXACTLY
what its like to be with him.  Not that great of a write, but it means everything
to me.  He has been my bed-buddy every night for 7 years.  (don't take that
the wrong way!  sheesh)

Aha! So you are the culprit!! Sheez...is that why he wakes me up every morning around 4:30 yakking my head off??? Oops...guess I just spilled the beans about "whose" bed-buddy he really is...~~snicker~~ I don't kick as much..hehehee...Seriously though, he is a great cat and welcome company for me. (even if he does think I am the maid!) I should start keeping a diary of my own Batman adventures...oh the tails I could tell...*wg*
