standing on a shadow's lace

Poet’s Fire

did I stand
too close to inspire
and melt within
a poet’s fire
and shadow dance
to silver tune
beneath the very
beams of moon
so real to me
it did quite seem
do not say
it just a dream
dreams can vanish
when shown in light
and only appear
within the night
I need some magic
to hold my stay
gluing then and now
to night and day
as I stand next
to poets inspire
to melt once more
within that fire

"Pour yourself thick, when it is you, that you spread."

To melt within a poet's fire-how nice!
