judy sue seemed like a punishment
instead of a name for a woman
but she responded to both words
and some others too, back then
when she was dancing 30 hours a week
standing,  and a few more layin' down

she tapped her nails on the formica,
could have been a piano player
if she could have carried a tune
but she knew how to irritate
with them nails so that counted
for missed lessons and a concert tour.

the china girl with bum equipment
and a part way pizza wiped
on guess they were white jeans
brought the suits and the shirts
monogrammed and starched heavy,
wrapped in plastic with hangers tied

judy sue might model it later,
the plastic, if he asks just right
and if he brought her a treasure from gimbals
she might do her magic tricks again
for the puppet man that brings her flowers
and joined their initials on the jags

and the keys to the villa down in malibu

"...but she knew how to irritate with them nails..."

in more ways than one, I'm sure...
you're writing is captivating, so
I would have another dose...

soon...

Well, I never left my initials on anyone's car except my own, you can be sure it needs some serious body work.  And Sue hardly sounds meager, a girl just knows when to make her exit.     Nice slice DS~
