There are no more mothers in love
only step stones wearing thin and red
only avenues that weep in witness
and me, on the corner of silence and siege.
There are no more mothers in love I say.
No more petals falling in forfeit
or baring of twig frames and scar.
Just quiet, hungover -
turned inside out and still, forgiveness bleeding.
Now a mile, square strangled and trying
no more mothers in love, just dying.
Wicked sections of wanting and turn stirring
though each brick is a break away
and every fall is escaping truth and lonely.
There are no more mothers in love
and there is nothing in a window for one I know,
there is only counting, only step stones,
only scatter see - and the way burnt red glass
reflects the morning sun. And Now.

Oh now..this can't slip away..not just yet. Loving this.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

Alicia, I've read this wonderous write twice and both times I got a different impression.

I loved the repetition of "There are no more mothers in love" and the "I say" just hit it off, well to me it did

Thank you for this wonderful read Hon

hugs

~And sometimes, reality aches.
Thank you kind poets for coming in and reading these dragging words of mine when there is such an abundance of beautiful poems to read out there.

My heart, to K, today, and always.

*Peace poets.

yes, reality does ache my friend. . . you know it as well as anyone. . .

this poem just speaks on so many levels. . . I can't even begin to tell you all of them. . . but, for now, it made me think of my own Mother. . . who loved once, until love departed this plane. . . perhaps, she felt this way. . . and perhaps, still does. . .

peace always to you my friend. . .

(big hugggssssss) This is so very sad, sweet friend, my heart goes out to all the world and this sad reality we live in and I pray that we can all learn to forgive again and cross our hearts with a love we will never forsake! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is powerfully expressed! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

sometimes I read you and I dont know what to say...after awhile I must sound like a broken record, saying the same thing over and over...raving about your imagery and abstract awesomeness. And this is classic A poetry. That it was written for a friend makes it even more special, the reality of it leaves my heart heavy.
heart-hugs to you and her.

Of all the things in me I could never be,
of the true I kept hidden from view,
the best parts of my heart ...
were the ones touched by you.
