Sailing A Memory

~*Marge Tindal*~

I have set my sloop to sail
the warm and windy seas
Billowing in softest breezes
of your memories~
~*~
Touched upon a storm or two
as boats so often do
Sailed right on through them
with gentle thoughts of you~

Caught a wind from off the bay
that gusted full-the-sails
Reminding me I'm often caught
within your windy gales~
~*~
Dropped anchor in a heartless town
just off the Port of Spain
Heard the silence of your voice in tow
calling out my name~

Underway once more to you
returning at full-speed
You've only to blow a thought my way
to fill my sail of need~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Margie girl this is another of your wonderful and melodious heart songs. The rhyme and the rhythm in this is flawless, truly excellent. The flow is as smooth as a ship over a glassy sea. This is excellent writing, perfect presentation and sheer delight from beginning to end. And yes I LOVE IT, but you knew I’d say that.

Absolutely first class writing darling heart go to the head of the class

It's snowing hard here in MA; if only I could get on a sailboat and sail away to the coast of anywhere warm! Great poem that conjured up wonderful images.

I met a brand new baby girl on Saturday. Her name was Delaney! Cute, but not as cute as your Delaney.  :-)
