                   In Touch

A yawing hole begs in morose chants
for the visitor to join its dark hands and fall in
even while creamy roses drank the spring rain
     angels stepped into healing light
and were visible

There was no reason to doubt the morning
winking back at sunflower colored skies
yet longing was a blackened cross
that reminisced our 10,000 shared bent dreams
memories rested on snowy down pillows
behind closed lids of missing-you

I'd like to think we remembered at a same time
our promise to Keep in Touch
that's why you called. ......................just then
that's why I mailed your long letter...just then

                    ~  and we touched  ~

can't stop me from
loving you

Hi Aimster!  Don't believe I have had the pleasure of your reply.  With so many
poet/poetesses here, it's so easy to miss out on some good writings!  I read two of
yours and really like what I read.  smiles  Thankx so much for your generosity
in praise.  ~blush~

Noah:  Happy Friday Dude!   I wrote this for a friend who had left many a friend
behind in moving.  Its sad, for sure, but if we just stay 'in touch'. . .happy sighs

Evening Vic!  How's you this rainy Hoosier evening?  You know the NCAA's are being
played, so guess what I am up to?  ~grin~    You pegged my intent, Vic, in hopes that
this will spur others to contact their old heart-friends.   Speaking of which, it's a
great honor and pleasure to be yours.  **smiles**  jeff

Thank you so much, Diamond.  You made me smile warmly!

Thank you Nancy!  Perhaps I overdid the 'corny' a bit, but when I think of friends
that have moved away. . . I know the feelings are still there.  Hope you are doing
well, and thank you….can you see my smile from there?  J

You are all WAAAAYY too kind!  Thanks guyz! (and gals)
Jeff
