Song In Your Voice

A whisper heard across the miles
caressing heart and soul
Heartfelt feelings absent of wiles
just wanting to console

The song in your voice rings clearly,
feeling your want flow out
Sang out with pure sincerity
honest need without doubt

Sharing the lonely pain that you feel
for a love willing share
I wrap soft words that can’t conceal
the depth my words declare

The song in your voice beckons me
to arms that hold me tight
Released to let the heart fly free
while our passions ignite

A kiss from the touch of your voice
pulses within my veins
As you make my senses rejoice
love’s tears down my face rains

The song in your voice fills my ears,
so gently I’m caressed
Making up for the empty years
when such love was repressed

Karen,
Nothing repressed here. Great job. Nice images and gentle love. Well done.

So well done.
I like the honesty and the ownership of feelings... too often given up and given in
Very beautiful and well deserved. ThisDiamond

Karen, this is very, very beautiful. Again you have inspired me to write you a poem. "I listen", posted in a new thread. Thank you for the immense joy you bring to me with your writing.

So uplifting!  Why do any of us repress or deny caring when it is what we all need and need to give.

Beautiful thought.  You said it so well.

I especially enjoyed these lines! How wonderful it is when that beautiful song releases repressed emotions so they can join in the sweet harmony...beautifully done Karen!

Karen I missed your poetry so so much. I have not been able to be on here as much and I keep missing your work and don't have time to go looking for it. So now, here is one of your wonderful poems to make my day brighter. lovely one. floria
