Into The Warm

Can you feel me slip inside
just a graze of hair on cheek
to touch so much the wounded parts
with dappled light from words impart
to kiss the broken doubt so that
the pieces fall and are pulled out
by breeze I made with beating heart
to still the ache that pulls apart

I know the shoulder of this place
its fragile keep is naked now
the place is mine as well as yours
and captures moments to insure
the sound so close of sugared breath
that melts then bends the will that built
years of  walls around the warm
to keep the heat soft nestled safe

now like a whisper to candle flame
we blow out doubt to opening

I like the mix of internal rhythm/rhyme with the freeness of the verse...this works very well for me and makes me slow down to take it all in...

Like warm honey....

I agree with Karilea.  You've done well here, Martie.  Very well!

*shaking my head and smiling*

You know Im loving every word of this...
just look at you...the poetess who once told me rhyme intimidated you..and now you are whispering it in your dreams...
rhyme divine baby.....
DIVINE ...
now my muse has really got something to worry about

You never knew what I loved in you,
I dont know what you loved in me ...
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be.

I like this.  It is well structured and very...warm, just as you say.  A nice place to crawl into, metaphorically.
