Not mine to know
ever again

I read tonight
the poems you wrote for him
and shook my head
as I realized
I was jealous of myself

and it makes perfect sense
it is my due

poetic justice
has been served

Hey this feels too sad. Hope all is ok with the romance. I relate to this fully, as I recently happened upon a letter from the man I miss so much, who now claims to never have loved me. Could have fooled me..sheesh.(did in fact)
Anyway, heartfelt write. peace.

I liked it very much.

==============================

sometimes for reasons we wont understand till later ... we have to make choices,
sometimes whats best for someone else wont be what we are "due" ... but will still be the right thing to do.
How we learn from it and grow in that time will be whats "just"
your words touch places deep Duncan.

You never knew what I loved in you,
I dont know what you loved in me ...
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be.

I felt a shiver of kinship with this poem. If 'justice' be served, let it be in poetic fashion.

Duncan

this was a lovely write, but
very sad...i hope that all is
goes well with you...sometimes
we have to just move on my friend,
as hard as it is...and boy is it
ever hard.

take care.

Sometimes we forget how much we can see of ourselves in "others". I understand this well.

There's nothing that I can say to top all of the replies above. All convey my thoughts on this particular work in one way or another.

well done, Duncan, well done...
