Here
Without you

How could you know?
How could I share?

How foolish to think such thoughts or have such hopes so high
Such poor company, such a fall to see the earth on impact
The closing door, the endlessly slamming door
These thoughts remain a haunting thing

Except that I have loved you deeply
Such anguish only that you are not here
So pale beside the sparkling eyes I still remember
How foolish to think such thoughts or have such hopes so high

How could you know?
How could I share?

Without you

A lovely format...and very true words...takes two for a conversation!

This Diamond...What beautiful expression in this poem.  Though the subject matter is about the pain of lost love...the poem itself is a thing of beauty.   ***Ivy Rose
