Why can’t I write in rhyme tonight
when my heart feels so much inside?
Why will not this pen go into flight
wanting to write, not ever to hide?

Why do my eyes not see you there
when the love I have flows free?
Wishing only to touch with care
letting you know, it is simply me.

Why do my fingers quiver and shake
when my hands cannot find the keys?
Will it ever again be able to partake
as I, beg solemnly, bowing on knees?.

Will my hands again feel the vision
that my eyes do see again so clear?
Wishing only to write with precision
of love I have, for you...you my dear.

I listen to the sound of the sun’s rise,
the deafening silence cannot compare.
I look for the deep beauty of your eyes,
sparkling emeralds beneath soft hair.

Will the pen again feel the love deep
as words hover like bees over a flower?
Can my soul for you once remain, keep
as I wish to say, to feel during this hour?

Love, everlasting, boundless and wild
given with passion for one dearly missed.
Showing me the sparkle, when I smiled.
Lingering, giving, sharing as we kissed.!

Thank you muse, I needed you...

Very good write here Magnus, Oh how we have come to depend on our muses. If you want to write so so badly and that muse takes a day off, well forget it. LOL.. this was truly nice so I know (he-she) showed up for you. floria

Did your muse guide then your pen
to leave the wail with the wind?
to dry the tear, and then, take flight?
did your muse then help you this lone night?

Well done Sir...you left a misty trail behind you...

My muse (on most days)...is simply some part
of me..inside me....that seems to light the
fire and fan the embers...

Though,  I must say...I have had a She muse
that has assisted a time or two...And to
her I am truly grateful for the help...

Magnus...So glad the Muse found you.  This poem is just exquisite, achingly beautiful.
