*this was written because of a reguest by
Michael Auguste..said he wanted to hear more
about my brother..*

George isnt homeless
but he travels here and there
walks miles at a time..
don't know how
he gets around..
hes mentally ill
but he finds his way
he gets lost less than i do

one day he stopped in a hotel
and decided to pour himself
a cup of coffee
while in the lobby
he saw a wheelchair
so decided to sit down
to drink his cup of coffee

i guess because he looked homeless
as he does sometimes when he
stays away for days or weeks at a time
a man came up to him
and dropped a Quarter in his cup of coffee
and walked away
well George didnt say anything
i guess he thought it was funny
but the nerve of the man
to think he was begging
just because he was sitting in a wheelchair.

I really think an angel watches over him
he was in the Marines but received a medical discharge
he had contracted a fungus on his feet
in Okinawa
As he was packing to come home
he was handed papers to go to Viet Nam..
They didnt know about his discharge
I wonder what would have happened
if he had not had that terrible fungus on his feet..
he ended up in the Naval Hospital in Philadelphia.

Another time he was with his best friend Ace
He was about twenty
and they pulled over to the side of the road one night
and got out to change a flat tire.
A car came along and hit Ace and killed him
again an angel was watching over George..

(big huggssssssss) Oh Victoria, I am so sorry to hear about your brother and his friend, this is so very sad though I believe with all my heart that the angels are always watching over you and George, for you and him have such golden hearts of love! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, I am so glad Michael requested this add-on, we all love you so much, God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Victoria, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Victoria I do believe he does have an angel or two watching over him.  It is good to you both share a sense of humor in all this sadness, as somehow life must go on.  Thank you for sharing the story of your brother with us, and I am sure there are so many with stories much like yours.  May the angel always keep him safe.

Victoria,

Thank you very much for this.  You don't know how much it means to me.  Yes, he has an angel.  Of that, I've no doubt.  I know that I also do, because I've seen him in action several times.  Your brother is fortunate to have a sister the loves him so and can not only express it in actions, but in poetry also.  *hugs* to you, sweet friend.
