Pantoum Of The Opera

~*Marge Tindal*~

Aria of grace in quaking
Scaling elegant notes of song
Before crescendo comes waking
On renewal of the dawn

Scaling elegant notes of song
Masked mystic of melody
On renewal of the dawn
Comes gentle tune of me

Masked mystic of melody
Caped in melodic longing
Comes gentle tune of me
Necessary for my songing

Caped in melodic longing
For all the world to hear
Necessary for my songing
Yet falling on deafened ear

For all the world to hear
My heart in song, now breaking
Yet falling on deafened ear
While all the earth lays aching

My heart in song, now breaking
Before crescendo comes waking
While all the earth lays aching
Aria of grace in quaking

*Mr. Lon Chaney from the 1925
performance of 'Phantom of the Opera'

Inspired by a little monthly Passions In Poetry Workshop assignment~

Margie girl darling sister of my heart this is exceptionally good writing. These must be incredibly difficult to do, and I applaud anyone who can do them. When the result is as wondrous as this well I’m impressed.

Seriously good writing darling girl, very very good. I love it utterly

Marge,
What a title! I love this, pantoums are so involved and convoluted, and this is so good.

Perfection drapes the stage in this,
the Phantom, and his lovely Miss
Your play with words, a play refined
everlasting story, paged in time...

Oh Marge how very very clever of you. I loved the phantom of the opera and I also love the Pantoum form, but my little mind never thought of putting them together. Great job here, you did this so well. floria

Auntie Margie girl this is stunning, I can see the work that went into this, it’s obvious that you really understood this format. Beautifully written my favourite aunt, you show your skill and heat in this. You don’t need me to say this is well written and constructed with care and attention to detail. Because you obviously know, it is an exquisite piece of art. Well written and beautifully presented.
