Choking the Words

Am I to suffocate while waiting,
my words gasping for air,
held back by the terror
of constriction?

Yet the tears aren't stifled,
spilling out, with each cough relinquished,
from eyes that can't see the future.

I am unable to speak
as emotions trickle down
reduced to fingertip touching,
releasing the emotion within.

Only
.....five
........more
..........days
..............to go.

M

This is very nicely penned, Maureen. Time solves everything. Patience is a wonderful virtue.

Maureen darling girl now this is one of your utter utter best, I love it. YOU have such a fabulous talent and in this you portray it to pure perfection. I could literally hear you gasping for breath.

Outstanding writing as always you show how well you can write

Maureen, your poetry is very powerful and the desperation comes through so clearly. I do hope the days pass quickly until you can get your medication again. Cheryl

Five days can be so long. I would rather it be five days until your heart's desire were to be there, than to be a Dr appointment. But breathe deeply and peacefully, and listen to the winds, for songs of healing are coming your way today.
