Near golden sunsets

She left me in the pouring rain
As the sun beat down from the sky.
She didn't cry as she sang her refrain,
Emptiness filled me with "Goodbye".

Those words, that death, my changing life;
I still find her face among the crowd.
The regret, the scorn, the bitter strife
of pushing against this dark rain cloud.

Endless nights I strive to forget
My love, my life...misunderstood.
Each morning I wake with new regret;
I still love her more than I should.

This is a very powerful and emotive piece Phillip ... very nicely composed. Much enjoyed the way you captured the feeling of regret and remorse, well done.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Unfortunately, it is often this way for a very long while. We heal, but never forget. You write so well, luv. Keep it up.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

(big hugggssssss) This is very bittersweet, dearest friend, my heart goes out to you and I hope in spite of the pain love can bring that now the love in your heart has grown stronger than ever in understanding! (smiles) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is excellent! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Philip, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
