Euphoria, as I have ever known it To know that you would come As I watched my belly swell I became blessed Aglow, a love affair beyond my dreams To hold you in my arms and lay my eyes on peace As I heard your first cry of innocence I became blessed Astounded, as I witnessed every new adventure To dry your tears with but my lips As I guided you safely to sleep I became blessed Astonished, as I battled for your very survival To tell you NO and mean it with resolve As I cried in your fallen grace I became blessed Adoring, as I loved enough to let you go To seek your dreams and choose your sorrows As I celebrate our journey I became blessed Copyright Kkh 3/12/02 |
